2021-22 Partnership Scheme – 2nd Kindergarten Teachers’ Workshop

The second Kindergarten Teachers’ Workshop was conducted online on 30th October, 2021 via Zoom. Nearly 20 teachers from our partner schools participated in the workshop. We shared with the teachers how to teach children to recognize, express and handle emotions via various Teaching and Learning methodologies, including telling stories, colouring, body language, oral practice, positive self-talk, peer sharing and role-play.

After the workshop, teachers indicated that they are confident to share different teaching methods when they go back to school. Besides, they also mentioned that students are satisfied with Little Mushroom lessons. We look forward to promoting children emotional intelligence with our teachers from all partner schools in this school year.

Po Leung Kuk Tin Ka Ping Millennium Primary School – Teachers’ Workshop

“Little Mushroom Story Books: Teaching and Learning Methodologies” Teachers’ Workshop was held on 24th September, 2021 in Po Leung Kuk Tin Ka Ping Millennium Primary School. Teachers in P.1 to P.3 who teach Little Mushroom joined the workshop and all of them support the school to implement Emotional Intelligence education. The teachers feel more confident in improving students’ Emotional Intelligence via Little Mushroom Story Books. We hope the students could learn various emotional skills so as to recognize, express, handle emotions and become EQ students.

Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School – 2nd Teachers’ Workshop

The 2nd Teachers’ Workshop in Fukien Secondary School Affiliated School was conducted on 15th September, 2021. Nearly 30 coordinators and teachers attended. According to the questionnaire administered at the end of the workshop, most of them understand more about the importance of teaching and learning methodologies and they found body language and positive self-talk the most challenging.

More than 90% of teachers anticipate their Junior Primary students like Little Mushroom Lessons and they will enjoy the lessons with them. We hope teachers and students could teach and learn Emotional Intelligence in a fun and relaxing way. We believe all the teachers are well-prepared for the new school year!
